What Are Lab-Grown Diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds (also known as cultivated diamonds) are real diamonds created in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced technology. They are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds mined from the earth.

How Are Lab-Grown Diamonds Made?
There are two main methods used to create lab-grown diamonds:

1. HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature)
This method replicates the conditions deep within the Earth’s mantle where natural diamonds form. A small diamond seed is placed in carbon-rich material, then exposed to extremely high pressure and temperature, causing the carbon to crystallize around the seed and grow into a diamond.

2. CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)
In this process, a diamond seed is placed in a sealed chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. The gas is heated, causing carbon atoms to stick to the seed and slowly build up into a diamond crystal.

Key Facts About Lab-Grown Diamonds
- They are 100% real diamonds, not simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite.
- They have the same hardness (10/10 on the Mohs scale) as natural diamonds, making them durable for everyday wear.
- They are graded using the same 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat) standards as natural diamonds by leading gemological labs.
- They come with official certificates from IGI or other reputable labs, verifying their authenticity and quality.

At Daijyewelrys, we only use high-quality, certified lab-grown diamonds in our jewelry, so you can shop with confidence knowing you’re getting a genuine, beautiful diamond.
